Balkan holiday

Touring the Balkans is back in vogue. Well, actually, it's the subject of an article in the San Diego Metropolitan magazine.

Journalist Michelle Lyn visited Montenegro recently, and was bowled over by the Bay of Kotor. "Entering the bay, the incredible terrain took my breath away, while the serenity instantly reminded me of Lake Como, Italy." Although she enjoyed looking round Perast and Kotor, "The highlight of our stay was our dinner at Stari Mlini, a 16th century flour mill along the river Ljuta, that was converted into a charming restaurant." She concludes: "Dinner at Stari Mlini was one of the most memorable dining experiences I've ever enjoyed."

The restaurant is just ten minutes walk away from our villa! And if you cannot get a table there, the terraces of the Hotel Amfora, in Orahovac, are an excellent alternative, with superb views over the Boka and very friendly waiters.
